He helped to heal wounds that I wasn’t even aware of and catapult me to confidence in communicating what I’m looking for in a spouse and how to partner with God in my pursuit of the one!

There is wisdom that comes only from personal life experiences as well as being there for people when they need it, and Dr. Ford holds this wisdom. I knew pre marriage counseling was the thing to do before you marry, but I truly had no clue that it would be as helpful as it was. Having grown up in the church I was expecting some generic book and some discussions I’d most likely had with my now husband, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Not only did Dr. Ford introduce a book that has faith and scientific based principles, but he gave us homework that helped us see just how compatible we are and where we may get to have deep discussions and differences once we got married. These all helped relieve any thoughts that I wasn’t making the best decision in a life partner and allowed me to be married with the deepest peace and joy imaginable. I couldn’t be more grateful to Dr. Ford and his excellent council.

Dr. Ford was a huge encourager when it came to my process of letting go of my “old” relationship and being in a place where God could introduce my husband to me. I was stuck in a place where I wanted to meet my husband and start our future together, but at the same time afraid of the idea of having to be single, since I was “old” (33 yrs old) at the time. And in my mind I would’ve already been married with kids by that point.

I met with Dr. Ford … I was still concerned about being single by I finally knew it was time to let go and meet my husband. Several things Dr. Ford mentioned helped me be ready to let go officially of my old relationship and step into a place where I could meet the one God had planned for me.

One of the biggest things that pushed me was the explanation of how there should be cherishing of each other in the relationship. Which my previous relationship had none of. The treatment of each other in a relationship was another thing that really hit me hard. It made me realize I deserved and was made to have more out of the relationship with the man that would be my husband.

Dr. Ford encouraged me to join an app called upward, which I was totally against at first but I felt as though I could trust his intuition with this app. We prayed over the time and the release of control and it made all the difference. I have never felt God holding me as much as in that timing. I met my husband to be a month after my first meeting with Dr. Ford.
